Nissim Ozer, Ph.D.
Executive VP and Chief Information Officer
RF Code
Inc.
|
Dr. Ozer previously served as Director of Technology
in UStel, Inc. (NASDAQ: USTL), a telecommunications
company where he developed efficient and smart
algorithms for rapid data processing and fraud
detection. Before that he worked for ElOp, Inc. an
electro-optical firm, where he was a team leader of the
analysis group for the development of infrared and laser
technology for IR cameras and missile guidance systems.
Dr. Ozer's doctorate work focused on real-time sensor
fusion and artificial intelligence. His academic
experience also includes a post doctorate focused on the
development of real time identification of odor using
semi-conductors and polymer based sensors.
RF Code, Inc., founded in
1997, designs, develops and manufactures
high-performance, low cost RTLS (Real-Time
Locating Systems) for long-range local wireless
data communications that accurately manage and
track physical assets, information and
personnel. RF Code offers complete systems
comprised of RF (Radio Frequency) tags, readers,
antennas and software. Its Spider active RFID
system was awarded Best of Show across all
categories by PC Week Magazine at COMDEX, Las
Vegas, Nevada in the fall of 1999. RF Code
offers two active tag systems: Spider and
Mantis.
The MANTIS real time locating
system is the next generation of RF based tags,
readers, handheld devices and software developed
by RF Code. Designed for asset and personnel
location and tracking, this family of products
combines all of the low cost, high tag density
benefits of a passive RFID system with
positioning capabilities of a sophisticated RTLS
system in a unique offering that installs easily
in either a wired or wireless LAN configuration.
It is ideal for application in the security,
healthcare, containerized cargo, supply chain
logistics, manufacturing execution and warehouse
management industries. Of particular note is the
current participation in two Operation Safe
Commerce pilots which demonstrate RF Code's
capability for container tracking, container
tamper monitoring, sensor monitoring including
radiation sensors, and wide area
satellite/cellular uplink from integration of
local and wide-area monitoring systems.
