Tom Brady

Tom Brady, the UCC’s Vice President of AIDC,
possesses has extensive experience in the field of
automatic identification data capture and is one of the
industry’s most respected technology experts.
Mr. Brady’s career in the AIDC area began at NCR
Corporation, where he was involved in the development of
the first scanners that would launch a broadscale AIDC
technical revolution. His expertise was used in the
design, development and marketing of transaction
processing systems for retail and industrial
applications. In his career at NCR, he held a series of
senior level executive positions that utilized his
extensive R&D and product management experience.
Mr. Brady joined the Uniform Code Council in 1991 and
his in-depth AIDC experience has been instrumental in
the UCC’s development of the next generation of supply
chain applications for AIDC technology. As the UCC’s
Vice President for this crucial area, Mr. Brady provides
vision and direction for AIDC technology issues for
point-of-sale, logistics, location, and asset
identification for a diverse range of industries. He is
responsible for the technical accuracy and efficiency of
UCC product identification and AIDC standards. Mr. Brady
serves on a variety of international technology
committees to ensure that the interests of users are
kept at the forefront of technical delivery.
Mr. Brady earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical
Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial
Engineering from the University of Toledo.
